Three pedestrians injured on North-West roads

THREE pedestrians were injured, with two taken to hospital, after three different incidents on North West roads last night.

The most serious of these incidents took place at 5.50pm at the intersection of Best and Rooke Street Devonport.

The driver of a Holden flat tray travelling on Rooke Street was turning right onto Best Street when the ute hit a pedestrian crossing at the pedestriancrossing.

The pedestrian suffered serious injury and was taken to hospital.

At 9.30pm atthe intersection of Best and Fenton Street, the driver of a black hatchback on Fenton Street, Devonport turned left onto Best Street and hit a pedestriancrossing at the pedestrian crossing.

The pedestrian was injured and taken to hospital.

The first of the three incidents happenedat about 5.10pmwhen a woman was hit crossing the road at Queen Street, Ulverstone,

The female did not suffer from any significant injuries as a result of that incident.
